Benevolence Ministry

We strive to honor God by being good stewards of the resources entrusted to us. The Vineyard Cincinnati Church Benevolence Funds are an extension of God’s provision for those who are actively involved in the life of the church and find themselves in temporary financial hardship. Funds are provided through the faithful giving of VCC and allocated through the regular budgeting process of VCC. All benevolence requests are administered through The Healing Center.

Scriptural Support

The following Scriptures are not intended to be comprehensive, but reflect solid Biblical support for our benevolence policy and practice: Acts 2:44-47, Gal 6:9-10, 2 Thes 3:6-13, 1 Tim 5:3-16, 1 John 3:16-18, James 1:27.

Criteria for Application

  • Applicant must be actively attending and involved in Vineyard Cincinnati for at least six months. (Involvement is defined as active participation in Vineyard Cincinnati Church through regular volunteer service, regular giving, and/or regular attendance in a small group or other VCC ministry.)
  • Eligible requests for assistance focus on basic living expenses.
  • The benevolence request is a one time only request. In order to help as many people as possible there is a limit on how much can be given to each applicant.
  • Copies of the most current pay check stubs for everyone in the household and bills for which you are requesting assistance must be included with the application. If rental assistance is being requested, a letter from the landlord and rental agreement will be required.
