Isn't every Vineyard Cincinnati service kid-friendly?
You’re correct! In a non COVID-19 world, every worship service at Vineyard Cincinnati Church is both kid-friendly as well as family-oriented.
All who are in Christ are a part of God’s family, and we anticipate the opportunity to gather again each week as brothers and sisters in Christ to turn our hearts to God in unified worship. An important part of our weekly worship experience is the attendance and participation of children from preschool through 8th grade in age-appropriate worship environments created just for them.
Our Vineyard Kids and Vineyard Students worship services provide a vital venue for children preschool through 8th to experience worship and engage in a small group community. These times provide numerous occasions for teaching and explaining that equip our children and teenagers to better understand the Lord and enable them to grow into worshippers themselves.
Why offer A Family Service?
We know that in this phase of reopening when Vineyard Kids and Vineyard Students cannot be offered, it can prove to be difficult to worship together as a family.
This is especially true for families who have infants or younger children. This difficulty can lead to your family thinking it can’t be a part of TOGETHER because members in your family can’t sit still or sit quietly for a full service.
So, during this phase of reopening, we have created an environment that gives special emphasis to worshipping together as an entire family. This worship service has all the elements of a weekend service, but it is specifically designed to go beyond acknowledging the kids in the room to intentionally engaging them throughout the service!
Are kids welcomed at the Auditorium Service?
Yes. Families with children of all ages are more than welcome to participate in the Auditorium service. The Family Service was created to provide families with a thoughtful alternative. An environment that gives special emphasis to worshipping together as an entire family with intentional elements to engage your kids throughout the service. Learn more about the Auditorium Service.
Who can attend the Family Service?
Any family with children who are not showing known symptoms of COVID-19 is welcome to attend. We encourage families who have members who might be more vulnerable to the virus to make prayerful and wise decisions about what is best for their personal health. That applies to those 65 and older and those with underlying health issues. The State of Ohio provides these health protocols for church attendees to consider.
Do I have to pre-register my family in order to attend the Family Service?
Yes. Since seating capacity is reduced based on local or state guidelines, Vineyard Cincinnati is ensuring that proper distancing is maintained in the Auditorium and in the Big Room.
Part of that process is asking you to reserve a seat each week at the worship service you and your family plan to attend. This will help the church manage the number of people attending each worship service. RSVP HERE
Can I attend the Auditorium Service and my kids attend the Family Service?
No. This service is for entire families to worship together. A minimum of 1 adult (parent, grandparent, legal guardian) is required to attend with children.
What safety measures are you taking?
We are taking the following precautions to ensure a safe environment for your family:
- Adults and children ages 11+ are asked to wear a mask while indoors per the state of Ohio's mandate for Hamilton County, which currently has a Red Level 3 Public Health Emergency Alert.
- Each family will have their own pre-marked space that’s 6 feet away from other families.
- The restrooms in the Big Room will be sanitized for your family before and after each service.
- Hand sanitizer stations will be available
Disposable masks will be available if you forget to bring one
Plenty of sanitized chairs will be provided for each family.
You can enter through the main entrance door and head down the stairs, or go directly from the parking lot through the side entrance door. Look for the pop-up tent!
Should I attend if I’ve experienced COVID-19 symptoms recently?
If you, your child, or anyone in your immediate family have experienced any of the following within the week prior to the service, please worship with us online.
- Fever of 100.4 degrees or higher
- Cough or sore throat
- Shortness of breath
- Contact with anyone confirmed to have COVID-19 (in the past 14 days)
Those classified to be in the vulnerable population should continue to worship with us online until restrictions are lifted.
Can I visit with friends before/after the service?
During this time, we ask that you practice recommended social distancing. Families who would like to visit with one another (at a safe distance, of course) may do so outside the building, to allow for our cleaning teams to sanitize all areas for the next service.
What should I do when I arrive for the Family Service?
- Please arrive for your selected 9:30am or 11:30am service 10 minutes ahead of the start time. The services will start at these listed times.
- For your convenience, there are two entrances/exits to the Kid-Friendly Family Worship located in the Big Room. You and your family can enter the Big Room through the indoor lobby entrance (across from the Main Auditorium) or you can also enter from the outdoor parking lot entrance.
The Big Room doors will be marked as either “entrance only” or “exit only” for one-way flow to make it easier to ensure social distancing.
- Please practice social distancing by claiming a taped-off square and remaining inside that square as much as possible.
Each family square will be clearly marked and have three sanitized chairs. If you need more than three chairs, or if you are uncomfortable with your children sitting on the floor, please ask one of our volunteers for an extra sanitized chair.
- The restrooms are available for use inside the Big Room and in the lobby area.
- If you have any questions or need help, there will be clearly marked volunteers available for assistance.
Will there be offering and communion at the Family Service?
Communion will not be offered, but offering stations will be available. You will be able to drop your offering in containers at the rear of the main auditorium and at marked stations throughout the building as you leave. As always, you also may give securely online. Give Online
Is Nursery, Vineyard Kids, or Echo Middle School Ministry programming available?
No. All age-specific programs will not be available until the next phase of reopening.
What if I’m not ready to return with my family?
If you and your family are uncomfortable with the idea of attending an In-Person Worship Service, we encourage you to continue to join us for services online.
