Generosity & Stewardship

The earth and everything in it belongs to God (Gen. 1, Ps. 24:1). That includes us, our resources, and even the breath in our lungs. Everything we have is a gift from Him (James 1:17).

We see generosity not as an obligation, but as a joyful response. When we live as managers — not owners — of God’s resources, our lives align with His design and we experience freedom, purpose, and joy.

Generosity is far more than what we give financially. God has entrusted each of us with a unique mix of time, talents, relationships, and resources — and every one of these can be offered back to Him and to the people around us (1 Pet. 4:10). Scripture describes generosity taking many forms: sharing our homes, encouraging others, serving with our gifts, and giving financially (Rom. 12:6–13).

That means there's a way for everyone to live generously, no matter the season you're in or what you feel you have to give. When we see all of life as God's, generosity becomes less about a single transaction and more about a whole-hearted way of living (2 Cor. 9:6–8).

When we give, we declare our trust that God is good and that His promises are true (Matt. 6:19–34).

We don’t give because of circumstances or personal preferences. We give because generosity honors God, keeps our hearts focused on Him, and reminds us that money doesn’t rule us — Jesus does (Matt. 6:19–24). Giving moves us closer to God and opens the door for Him to shape our hearts.
