Hispanic Ministries Cincinnati featured in Latino newspaper

Jenny Sasson | October 7, 2017

The Latino newspaper La Jornada Latina recently featured Hispanic Ministries Cincinnati's day of prayer.

Pastor Jenny Sasson and Hispanic Ministries Cincinnati Church joined in a day of prayer, calling for God to intervene to protect the 800,000 young DREAMERS nationwide who are covered under the Deferred Action for Child Arrivals (DACA) program.

Sasson urged the Hispanic/Latino community in the region to stay calm, avoid rumors and seek the right information on the DACA issue.

"We are constantly helping the Hispanic community. We believe that educating our people is key at times like this. We can help them promote peace by having the correct information.

Since many times, when we are misinformed, we are filled with concern and alarm," said Sasson to La Jornada Latina.

It is for this reason that "we have teamed up with the Latino Coalition of Southwest Ohio to host the annual Latino Expo to educate the Hispanic/Latino community with insights from experts in immigration. They will be at Hispanic Ministries October 8 to talk about DACA."

Likewise, Pastor Jenny recommended continued prayer. "We believe the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective, especially in a situation like this which affects more than 800,000 young people who are hurting right now. We hurt with those who hurt, just as God does."

Sasson announced that pastors from all over the country intentionally remain united in prayer for migratory reform to support every family in this country.

"We believe that immigration reform is a viable action to alleviate the immigration problem for both our families and the government. We pray for God to give wisdom to President Trump and his Cabinet.

We pray for favor and grace, to finally be able to propose and approve longed-awaited reform that will benefit thousands and millions of homes of people who are hardworking and good," Sasson said.
