Frequently Asked Questions

WHO CAN ATTEND

Who can attend in-person worship services?
Anybody who is not showing known symptoms of COVID-19 is welcome to attend. We encourage people who might be more vulnerable to the virus to make prayerful and wise decisions about what is best for their personal health. That applies to those 65 and older and those with underlying health issues. The State of Ohio provides these health protocols for church attendees to consider.

Are senior adults welcome?
We want these members of the Vineyard Cincinnati family to be safe, and the CDC's recommendations and those extended by the State of Ohio are for people age 65 and older to stay home as much as possible. Because of our love for our senior adults, we suggest those age 65 and older to wait to return to in-person worship on our campus. That said, Vineyard Cincinnati will not stop anybody from attending if they do not show symptoms of illness.

Are children welcome?
Yes! Children are welcome if they are not showing known symptoms of COVID-19. No childcare or programming is currently being provided; therefore, all children will sit with you in the worship service. Strollers will need to be kept outside the Auditorium and not the aisles due to fire code requirements.

SOCIAL DISTANCING

How will seating be managed in the worship services?
Since seating capacity is reduced based on local or state guidelines, Vineyard Cincinnati is ensuring that proper distancing is maintained in the Auditorium. Part of that process is asking you to reserve a seat at the worship service you plan to attend. This will help the church manage the number of people attending each worship service.

CLEANING & PROTECTION

Are masks required?
You are encouraged to wear a mask while indoors.

Masks are optional for those sitting in the lower level of the Auditorium and in the Big Room. Once you are seated in the Auditorium, you may choose to wear your mask or not during the service. When the service ends, you are encouraged to wear your mask while leaving the Auditorium and the church building.

The balcony is mask-required. We are reserving the balcony for everyone who wishes to attend and keep their mask on during the service.

All volunteers and staff members will be required to wear masks.

Will here be hand sanitizer available?
Yes, hand sanitizer will be available, and you are encouraged to use it. You may also provide your own.

Are the facilities cleaned between services?
Yes. Our facilities team has a process in place for cleaning the auditorium before and after each worship service.

WORSHIP SERVICES

What is the worship service schedule?
In person:
Saturday 5:30pm
Sunday 9:30am & 11:30am

Will the services be online?
Online services continue to be a great option. They are streamed on our website and Facebook.

When does Vineyard’s Hispanic Community meet?
The Hispanic Ministry services will continue to be translated live on Facebook.

LIFE GROUPS

Life Groups, including Women’s Community Groups, will continue to meet online and off-campus. No date has been set for when these groups will begin gathering in person on our campuses. Each Life Group can decide on their own if they want to gather in-person off-campus while following social distancing guidelines and other necessary precautions.

CHILDREN & STUDENTS

At this time, Vineyard Kids and Vineyard Students will continue to meet virtually. We are working on plans to reopen those ministries on campus with appropriate safety guidelines in place in the coming weeks.
If you choose to attend in person, families will be sitting together.

The Big Room is specifically for families; in the Big Room we’ll have fun songs that are familiar to kids, and families will participate in the service by watching on the big screens. Families of all ages are also welcome into the Main Auditorium.

OFFICE/FACILITY HOURS

Are the church offices open?
Vineyard Cincinnati’s offices are NOT open to the public at this time. If you need to meet with a staff member, contact him or her to make the necessary arrangements.

CREATIVE IDEAS IF YOU'RE NOT READY

Have a watch party at your house! Invite 6 - 10 friends & family members to watch the weekend service with on Youtube. Have some food, start a backyard fire or gather in the living room, and talk about the message for a few minutes. It’s good to be together in whatever way you’re comfortable starting.
